How to add an atmosphere.
November 26, 2007, by Pulverdings.1. Make a caulk hull
Note: every caulk texture will become your sky
2. Make a small box inside you caulk hull (it can be underneath the terrain)
3. Right click somewhere in the caulk hull and add: atmosphere -> atmosphere
4. Press n to get to the property editor inspector
5. At key enter: "atmospheredecl" and at value enter: "area22_01"
(without "")
6. Press the green +
7. Select a brush of your small box
8. Give it the texture: textures/common/nodraw
9. Press ESC to deselect the brush.
10. Select (in the camera view) the outside of the same brush with ctrl+shift+lmb
11. Give it the texture: textures/editor/outsideportal
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now you added an atmosphere (step 3 - 6) and you told the game where inside and outside on your map is (step 7 - 11).
You will have to repeat step 7 - 11 everytime you make a new interior.
If everything is done correctly it should look something like this:
